Rainy Day Beret

It's been raining a lot this past week, but today we had teeny breaks of sunshine. I decided to take advantage of this and photograph a recent FO. The pattern: Max's Staircase Tam. The yarn: Malabrigo Worsted in Hollyhock. This project was super fast. I love the finished product, but the decreases were annoying and plenty. My favorite part is that she loves it!

She wore it in public, she asked to have her picture taken in it, and she found several different ways to wear it. She even asked if I could try and find her some tinted lip gloss to match. Who is this girl and what have you done with my daughter?

Too funny Cher! But I have got to say, those are the best pics I've ever seen of your little stranger!! She looks fabulous in her new tam and I think a little lip gloss would be THE perfect icing on the cake!

Lip gloss, huh? Before you know it she will be going on dates (if her father will let her). Enjoy the "love of the tam", for next week/month her whims will change, as is the law of children. Great photos!

Love the tam and it looks great on her! The first pic is so "whee I love my new hat!" and the last is all "quit taking pictures now mom". Lol.

Pink lip gloss, eh? Watch out!

DD is super cool in her new beret.

P.S. They may have been annoying, but the decreases are a lovely design feature, so all your hard work is worth it.

She's so cute, and I had to notice the Jonas Brothers t-shirt. Did she go to a concert? My favorite little knitter saw Hannah Montana last Monday night, but the Brothers weren't there, she said. But what do I know. I was 1000 miles away.
